MR. ADETUNJI ADEKOYA

BIRTH AND CHILDHOOD

Born in Gombe - northern part of Nigeria to Late Pa Jonathan Olufemi Adekoya and Late Mrs Susannah Oluwasolabomi Adekoya while sojourning and setting the pace, young Adetunji had parents who were quite industrious. 

They sojourned, with their  young family across Nigeria and Cameroon. Papa was a Soil Technician working with road construction companies, some of which are still in business today. Adetunji is the fourth child and first Son of the family. It is interesting to note that Adetunji is blessed to have the privilege of having both parents from Odosimadegun. His paternal grandfather is the well-known Olori Manager - Late Pa. Julius Okeowo Adekoya of Itun Oke while his maternal grandfather was Late Pa Thomas Ogunlana Adetilewa of Jagun quarters both of Odosimadegun.

EDUCATION, CAREER AND WORK LIFE

Adetunji started his educational career attending his primary and secondary schools in Ibadan. He proceeded to Ogun State Polytechnic and later capped it with a Master in Business Administration from Ekiti State University.

He has run a successful IT career with world class outfits. He  worked with Chams PLC rising to senior management level until he opted to start his own business. Currently, he is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Peridot Guide Limited, a multi-disciplinary IT company offering bespoke solutions and advisory services. He is the Chairman of Seamless Events Limited and Seamless Ebony Nigeria Limited. In recognition of his sterling, Adetunji sits on the Governing Council of Lagos Anglican Girls Grammar school, Surulere and Pentecost College, Iba, both in Lagos State.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE AND UPBRINGING

For those who know Tunji well, he simply can be described as a churchman. His sojourn  in church started early when he joined the Boys’ Brigade at the age of Six. Then, he enrolled in the junior Section. This was the beginning of his devotion to the things of God. He was in the choir at several times but his love for the Brigade was second to none. He rose to become a Lieutenant after being celebrated as the first decorated Staff Sergeant at the age of 15. He played every instrument in the Brigade Band with so much dexterity and this was noticed in the National Camp of 1993 when he was decorated in far away Kaduna where the conference held. His exploits at the conference were the beginning of his relevance to the Odosimadegun community as he was saddled with the responsibility of grooming younger talents for the brigade.

This was the beginning of his service back home. He did so well, shared a lot of experience and the name of the lord is glorified. This equally availed him the opportunity to make friends and relate with Simadegun boys in and out of Brigade.

He has remained in the Anglican Church – serving as a member of the Guild of Stewards in AVMCC, heading the IT and Database Committee too. He became a key player in understudying church administration, so it was not a surprise when he was elected the People’s Warden of the most prosperous Cathedral in Nigeria: Archbishop vining Memorial Church Cathedral in 2016. He served meritoriously for the maximum six years allowed. 

He is a staunch member of the most vibrant chapter of Fountain of Hope International (FOH 10NG). He is a Synod Delegate and a member of the Diocesan Board and in the Ijebu Anglican Diocese. He was the Chairman of the Publicity and Publication Committee when Ijebu Anglican Diocese turned 40. His role at the anniversary celebration and his track records were greatly appreciated. He is currently the President of Fountain of Hope Society (9NG) of the Cathedral Church of Our Saviour, Italowajoda, Ijasi , Ijebu Ode. A great multitasker and devoted Christian; he has been able to manage and balance home and abroad commitments.

SOCIAL LIFE

A socialite and a happy-go-lucky fellow, with an enviable  finesse. He is a member of Ultimate Circle of Nigeria and Zenital Forum. He is a delight to behold when it comes to organizing social events. It is noteworthy to state that he has been a Social Secretary in all the groups mentioned in the write-up at one point or the other. They cannot all be wrong – testament of a key skill of his

FAMILY

A doting father and loving husband to his one, only and female wife – Olajumoke, Adetunji is blessed with a happy and closely knit family and they are blessed in countless folds.
