Pharm. Ajala Olatayo Bamidele FPSNPharm. 

Dele Ajala had his early education in Baptist High School Ejigbo?Osun state 1961-1966 and Higher School Certificate in Olivet Heights Oyo in1967-68. He entered the then university of Ife (now Obafemi AwolowoUniversity) in 1968 and obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (B. PharmsHons) with second class in June 1972. CAREER: Pharm. Dele Ajala started his professional career with Lagos stateministry of health and worked in the then Royal Orthopedic hospital Igbobi(Now National Orthopedic Hospital) and Epe General Hospital. He joinedJanssen Pharmaceutical under Johnson and Johnson Nigeria Limited as amedical representative. 

He became the first Pharmacist to be commissionedinto the Nigeria Navy Medical Corp in 1975 as a Direct Short ServiceCommissioned Officer (DSSC) in 1975 with two years seniority in rank. 

He voluntarily took early retirement from Nigeria Navy Medical Corps in 1979as a result of his conflict of interest while serving as a National PublicitySecretary of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria in 1976-78. He thereafterestablished his private pharmacy practice at University of Lagos Road Akoka. He has since retired from active pharmacy practice into voluntary serviceanywhere his pharmacy knowledge is required most especially in his church –Archbishop Vining Memorial Church. Pharm. Dele Ajala is of Anglican Church, descent with his grandfather late Pa. Isaac Ajala, who served as the late Baba Ijo of St. David’s Anglican Church inOsun state. 

During his university time between 1968-72, he worshipped and joined thechoir of St. Paul Anglican Church, Yemetu, in Ibadan (now a Cathedral) duringhis university vacations. Pharm. Dele Ajala is a lover of Church and Contemporary music and veryemotional about his love for music, Pharm. Dele Ajala joined Rotary Club ofOpebi district 9110 in 1984 and served as director of club and internationalservice in different years. He was appointed by the Oyo State Government into the board of directors ofOdua investment Conglomerate Subsidiary in 1994. 

He joined Lagos CountyClub in 1984. Pharm. Dele Ajala and family joined Archbishop Vining Memorial Church in1989. In January 1996, Pharm. Dele Ajala joined thirteen likeminded brothersto form a Church Society christened Christian Brothers Society. In 1998Pharm. Dele Ajala entered the newly established Lagos Anglican Bible Collegeas first set of students to attend the college and obtained a diploma in biblestudies from the college. 

Pharm. Dele Ajala also attended the lay readers course under the LagosDiocese in March/April 1999. Pharm. Dele Ajala’s Church Society, Christians Brothers Society erected theBelfry Tower in 1998/99 for the transition of Archbishop Vining MemorialChurch into a Cathedral. In the year 2009, Eng. Ayo Jagun invited Pharm. Dele Ajala alongside thedirector of music Mr. Sunday Olawuwo to establish choir competition programwithin the Diocese of Lagos west which later because the Diocese of Lagoswest choral competition (DLWCC) and has being waxing stronger year in yearout in achieving its objectives in the improvement of church music and as wellas choir members in the growth of church music. Pharm. Ajala Olatayo Bamidele is currently the secretary of the AVMCCMedical Board and as a volunteer in God’s vineyard using his time, talent andtreasure in serving our Lord Jesus Christ. Pharm. Dele Ajala is a Fellow of The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.
